Fiction in 50: A Dawning Realisation

This month Bruce has challenged us with the topic of A Dawning Realisation [sic].

Title: Clueless
Word Count: 50

Chuck woke up face-down in the street. That was the problem with dreaming, eventually you wake up.

He made a quick inventory of body parts—head, hands, arms, legs, feet—they were all there and they all hurt.

What happened? Why me?

Because shit happens, and it happened to you.

Note: Bruce & Ideflex have inspired me to serialize this post into a monthly saga — 50 words at a time. You may click on this link to start reading this anthology.

Now that’s the way to tackle something! One mysterious bit at a time – going to try my hardest to keep up – sooooo much work, so little time for my favourite occupation WP! Looking forward to see which direction (sorry bad pun) this is going…

Ha, that’s funny! You’ve got my mind running to catch up with Bruce and see what the heck happened. A hangover perhaps???

I am not sure either. Now that I have challenged myself to continuing this thread of a story I guess we will find out in 30 days from now.

What can you tell the forlorn dude on the sidewalk? Up Chuck.
