Photo of the Day 6/8/18

A few days ago we went to our first San Rafael Pacifics game this year and it was a nail-biter to the bitter end. The visiting Martinez Clippers led the entire game and were up 7—2 going into the bottom of the eighth inning. The Pacifics rallied with five runs to tie the game going into the ninth inning.

A series of critical errors by the home team resulted in two runs for the Clippers. The final score was 9—2. Win or lose, it was an exciting game and there’s plenty of season left to play.

It could have been a Grand Slam, but it ended up being a deep foul ball over right field line.

Love your baseball pictures. They have so much motion.

No doubt that being at a game is the best way to enjoy baseball. I find it rather boring on TV. Too much time between plays and hockey has spoiled me for non-stop action. But of course, that ended for the season last night. 😦 Happy Friday, Allan.

Happy Friday to you, Janet, and thanks for your comment. I understand your feelings about televised games vs being in the stadium. It’s a lot more fun for me to be a part of the crowd. There’s no instant-replay-jumbo-vision screen at our ballpark, so fans have to pay attention to know what happened on the field.
