Weekly Photo Challenge: Split-second Story

“…Put your National Geographic hat on and tell a story by documenting a moment in time through a single image…” WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge

My former boss (pictured below) recited a memorable safety motto whenever we went up on one of the Main Cables of the Golden Gate Bridge: One side Roadkill, the other side Shark bait.

I am not sure that I could make it past the first 10 feet going up the cable, let alone back down without wetting my pants. Nice to see Fort Point below, since we were just there this weekend.

This was always a favorite view of the fort for me.

      Thanks for stopping by, Egmont.

Incredible picture. I think I would enjoy the view but I’m sure the ascent and descent would challenge my nerves. Thanks for sharing the wise adage of your old boss.

Here is an adage that we both can identify with: Nearer my God to thee. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Thanks for the link, I like your photos. You had quite a stroll—it is 2 miles from one parking lot to the other (and back again!).

Yes, most people were turning half way, but I said to myself, if I’m here I should go all the length, I did it, but for coming back was really hard.

OMG, this looks so scary….with high speed winds at the Gate, such a feat becomes more dangerous and wild out of the blue….how did you manage this shot…?? I can see the Fort below

Holding my breath! I could not do a job like this – I think my heart would give in on day one. Great shot.
