Complicated Shadows

Cee has challenged us to work with shadows in this week’s Black & White Photo Challenge.

I used the interplay of light and shadow to accent the action between the pitcher and catcher in this late afternoon baseball game.

I like this one.. Cyclone fences have a weird optical illusion effect on me.. Sometimes my eyes focus the fence sharp with a distorted fuzzy background which is quite disorienting.. Not sure why it occasionally happens in real life but it never happens in pictures or videos..
Playing catch up again, can’t wait to see what else you’ve captured 😊

Thanks, Pan. I have a few photos from the next game that I took between the squares in the net. Keep an eye out for one later this week.

Long shadows on a baseball field. That’s how to spend a summer evening. 😀

Thanks, Sally. The season is over, so I may have one more action photo left.

It is so hard to play that time of day. Great action capture.

Thanks, Carol. The last game of our season is tonight. I hope it cools off fast, it’s almost 95° here.

Nice to look at, but not so nice to try to play in. 🙂
