Cee’s Black and White Challenge: Isolated Subjects

Cee has challenged us to work with just one subject in this week’s Black & White Photo Challenge.

I used the Lowy lens/BlacKeys XF film/Purple Raindrops Gel flash combination in the Hipstamatic app to take this photo.

Makes me think of silverpoint printing. The leaf actually glows. Perhaps the flash? Happy Friday

Hi, Carol. That is just some mottled sunlight on the leaf. I rarely use the camera flash as a “flash.” 99% of my Hipsta photos involve using the flash in the “automatic software” mode.

Thanks, Janet. This is an Alaskan fern in a pot in our backyard.

I forgot there’s no photo challenge this week, so I’ve been sitting and waiting for 11:01 am CST. Drat! Back to real life. Happy Friday.
