The Girl That Dreams Awake has challenged us this week with the topic of sunrise/sunset.
Since I have retired I tend to get up after the sun rises. This photo is from a few years ago during my morning rounds at the Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza.

Stunning, Allan. Sunrises are certainly easier to capture when the days are shorter, even for a morning person such as myself. Sunrise shot times are fast approaching.

Allan, you are on a roll with your nature shots. This (and others) belongs in a gallery.

Thanks, Stephanie. I don’t consider myself a nature photographer, but that has been my focus this year and I am happy for the influence, and availability, of subject matter. If it wasn’t for The Lioness and her garden I would not have progressed to this level so quickly.

Amazing how much drama there is on and near the bridge. What a spectacular moment.

Thanks, Tom. I keep saying that I am going to go back and get more sunrises in the Presidio, but sleeping in is a more attractive option. Perhaps I will after the DST changes next month and we start getting into the dark mornings of winter.

Thanks, Al. If it had not involved getting a paycheck I would have missed it that day.
