Awakening

This week, show us an image of an awakening.
—WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge

The Spring rain that has fallen over the last two weeks awakened our flowers and the roses have begun to bloom.

I used the Portrait mode/Stage Light setting in my iPhone X to take this photo and made some edits with the Luminar app.

Beautiful, bright colors; the way a rose was meant to be seen.

Thank you. I will have my hands full this year when the blooms burst and the photo fun begins.

Lovin that stage lighting on flowers. As if they’re saying “Mr deMill I’m ready for my close up”

Thanks, Carol, I like your description. I am still learning the nuances of using the Stage Lighting effect. The results are quite dramatic and that keeps me coming back to see what else I can do with it.

And it comes built in. What a perk. Do you shoot with it or edit afterwards?

I shoot with it and edit later if needed.
