I used the Loftus lens/DC film/Tasty Pop flash combination in the Hipstamatic app to take this early morning photo of a sage plant in our backyard garden.

Sage never looked so pretty.

A sage story: I bought a bunch of fresh sage at the farmers market and put it in a glass of water to keep it fresh well it rooted. I planted it and had fresh sage for several year.
I love the texture of your photo. I can smell the herb.

Your shot really conveys the softness of the leaves. We had a sage plant in Cleveland and I thought it would die in the winter. When we moved, it not only hadn’t died, but I’d had to cut it back many times!

When I look at it, I think “soup”. It’s getting close to that weather.
Thanks for the tip about Winter. I will have to remember to put it under cover and maybe it will come back in the Spring.

I never covered mine at all! It surprised me how hardy it was and we had real winters in Ohio.
