“What does angular mean to you? It might mean the corner on which you live or the intersection of sea and sky at a 180 degree angle. Angular also offers a chance to shoot from an entirely new perspective: from above, below, or even from the margins of the fray…” —WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge
Acute, or obtuse? Post, column, or horizontal beam? How about a rusted gusset? This is a look at the South end of the Engineered Arch of the Golden Gate Bridge that spans historic Fort Point below. As incredible as it was to build this arch, I am amazed at the mathematical skill it took to design it and the level of confidence for the last guy to sign-off on the drawings and send it out to order the steel.
My angle is this is pretty mind-blowing! I don’t think anyone could have said it better; I am super grateful to live in a world with minds that can work like that. It’s one thing to look at the picture it’s another to see it through your words imagining a regular person by some respects drawing this up. Really cool, thank you for sharing, thumbs up! 😀

I was humbled everyday that I worked there when I looked around and feasted on the talent and foresight of Charles Ellis and Joseph Strauss. Thanks for your comment.

Absolutely!
I don’t doubt for a second that it’s humbling. The size alone I think will do that, the details are extraordinary. I appreciate your sharing and having the chance to experience it from different angles.

There will be more views of the bridge in the future, so keep checking back.

Speaking of angles, in memory of Mr. Lee, a geometry teacher, here’s an oldie I heard from Al OTW: The little sapling says at the moment of first self realization, “Gee, I’m a tree!”
