Square Challenge — Blue

Becky has a new Square format photo challenge for the month of July and the theme is Blue.

According to Becky, our photos can:

  • be a ‘Bolt from the Blue’ – something unexpected or surprising
  • explore ‘Into the wide blue yonder‘ – sky, sea or maybe a location that is appealingly unknown and mysterious
  • simply be ‘Blue‘ – whether that’s azure, cobalt, sapphire, cerulean, navy, ultramarine, indigo, or turquoise
  • and there is an extra challenge for those of you up for it – can you manage to combine two of these, or maybe even all three?

51 years ago today I entered the apprenticeship program for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. After one year I became eligible to join the Union and it is one of the best decisions I have made, second only to marrying the love of my life, a.k.a. The Lioness.

I retired after 46 years of service, the last 15 years of which were spent on the Golden Gate Bridge—one more item on my List of Best Decisions.

My 50-year pin makes me anything but blue.

It’s people like you that make this country great 🙂 The real people who— day in and day out— made sure that the lights always turned on.
