Blast From the Past — 1935

The Golden Gate Bridge is the star of a Hollywood movie before it’s even finished. Filmed in March and released in June, Stranded has some great footage of the men building an Engineering Icon.

Here’s the Elevator Pitch:

A construction engineer with a heart of steel courts a social worker with a heart of gold, while fighting a protection racketeer that tries to derail the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge. (Source: IMDB)

Stranded is available on DVD.

That’s quite a story line. 🙂 These blasts from the past are always interesting, Allan.

Thanks, Janet. The more I look into old newspapers the more I see history being repeated. It is an interesting POV.
