Dreams are postcards from our subconscious, inner self to outer self, right brain trying to cross that moat to the left. Too often they come back unread: “return to sender, addressee unknown.” That’s a shame because it’s a whole other world out there—or in here depending on your point of view. —Dennis Koenig and Jordan Budde, Northern Exposure, Roots, 1991

My solutions to recovering dreams is to keep a small recorder by my bedside. I’ve trained myself to roll over and record dreams on it. Sometimes, I’m surprised by the message. Often, really. And sometimes they are difficult to read. Sort of like postcards left out in the rain.
    Nice quote. Thanks.

Your practice of using a recorder by your beside is an interesting one. I would probably end up wide awake after using one.

That quote requires a bit of time to think about it. Maybe too, the postcards you choose are dreams from your subconscious. Hmmmm. Have to think about that as well.
