Photo of the Day

Last Sunday a friend and I attended a photography class at our local Apple Store. The class was entitled “Photo Lab: Crafting Your Shot Co-created with Chase Jarvis” and as it turned out, we were the only people who showed up. We had a fantastic semi-private session and at the end of the class we got a chance to apply what we learned as we wandered around the store taking photos.

In addition to reviewing some basic photographic principles, we had a chance to learn more about the features of the native camera in our iPhones and how we can make better use of them under various lighting conditions. This is one of several free photography classes offered by Apple and I highly recommend it.

Here is my favorite image from the class.

Great picture. Thanks for letting us know of this awesome resource. I had no idea Apple was doing that.

You are welcome. I’m signed up for a Photo-editing class next week. Always lots to learn and new ways of doing old tasks.

Thank you. When I saw it I thought of a Nautilus shell spiraling into the distance.
