Another great action shot. I feel like this could be a still from a movie or a documentary.

Thanks, Jose. The gentleman picked the perfect place to stop and enjoy the play. I was a bit disgruntled at first and quickly decided to discard my pre-conceived image and make the one in front of me.

Baseball is by far the best in person. I find it rather boring on TV, but being a hockey fan, I’ve probably been spoiled by continuous movement. 🙂 I grew up playing fast pitch softball, but being in the game is completely different.

It all comes down to POV, just like photography.

      What position did you play?

Baseball has an odd characteristic for me. If I watch the whole game, it’s great, but if I start watching after the first inning, I can’t get into it.

I am not a big “baseball guy” and have found that watching the game live is much better than spending the same amount of time watching from the couch. The Pacifics play in the last west coast independent league and there are no announcers yammering away, and no jumbo screens for replays. If you are not watching the field, you are missing the action. It’s like spending time in another era.

Even though the guys are running this is a peaceful image. Something about baseball, summer in Balkan’s white. We are safe behind the fence.
