Squared Squares 2

Today’s entry in Becky’s MarchSquare Photo Challenge is a look at squares inside squares inside a square. I call it a ‘Barber Shop’ effect; looking into a mirror at a mirrored image into a mirror beyond, etc. These steel frames were on a dock at the Mare Island shipyard in Vallejo, CA.

Awesome, Allan! Your Dali-esque approach is great.

A characteristic of art is the repurposing of the ordinary. This photo totally does that 🙂

Well done, Allan. I like the feel of looking through frames.

“Barber shop” effect is an apt description. What is that striped pole within the 3rd square? Believe you’ve got this square deal covered. Really great shot!

Hey, Al. The striped pole is part of a railing system at the end of the pier. It’s pretty dilapidated and rundown at this point. Good catch.

Nicely done!! I remember being fascinated by a magazine cover when I was a kid of a woman in a mirror in a mirror in a mirror – to what seemed like infinity. I can still picture it.

    Good job, Allan!

That was my experience twice a month when my dad took me with him for our haircuts.
