Squaring the Circle 1

Becky’s MarchSquare Photo Challenge asks us to post a photo of a circle inside a square. I have taken a rather loose interpretation of the theme with this photo of the ceiling in the lobby of Atlanta’s Hyatt Regency Hotel.

    That’s a fun angle for a shot, Allan. 🙂 🙂

Thank you, Jo. The capsule-shaped elevators give the lobby a “Blade Runner” vibe when all of them are in motion.

Allan, a really captivating image that you have framed to see the angles, lines and shapes. Well done.

      Thank you so much, Sally.

BTW, I found the Faces/Places documentary on Amazon Prime and look forward to watching it this weekend. Thanks, again, for the recommendation.

Great shot! I remember attending one of Governor Jimmy Carter’s inaugural balls there circa 1970. At that time the Polaris Room rotating restaurant provided a panoramic view of the city, now it’s a view of the buildings next door. Beautiful capture in your pic!

Thanks, Al. I was attending the “North Avenue Trade School” when the hotel opened in 1966 and the first time I went inside the lobby was a mind-blowing experience.

Thank you, Debbie. There were so many different angles incorporating the same elements that it was difficult to decide which one to use.
