A Tunnel to the Past

This challenge subject is all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, we move from one place to another on. You can walk on them, climb them, drive them, ride them, as long as the way is visible.  —Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge

This tree tunnel leads down to the old Art Deco-designed RCA Radio Receiving Station built in 1929 on the grounds of the “G” Ranch in Pt. Reyes, CA. The Monterey Cypress trees were planted in 1930 and reflect the prestige that RCA placed in this trans-pacific wireless communications center.

A beautiful serene capture, enjoyed your composition with the lines and shapes of the shadows.

Thanks, Sally. It’s a challenge to concentrate on what to photograph first out here. Platinum problems…

What wonderful trees, Allan. Reminds me of some places in southern France where there are tall trees lining the road.

Thanks, Janet. I haven’t been to France, but I’ll keep that in mind the next time I’m out there.

The picture and the setup story both draw you in. Central to the light at the end of this tunnel appears a question mark? Great shot! Thanks for sharing.
