Cee’s Black and White Challenge: Patterns

Cee has challenged us to post a photo of patterns for this week’s Black & White Photo Challenge. I like the patterns of the rivets and screws on the nose of this Russian IIyushin iL-14 light transport plane.

This plane was built in 1954 for the Polish Air Force and spent most of it’s career transporting Polish military and political VIPs. Since 1994 it has resided in the Pacific Coast Air Museum. Periodically the engines are started to keep them in running order and to potentially fly again.

Nice photo. Always love your B&W work. At first look, the image made me think of two robot eyes lol

Great photo of this old beauty. We have a museum in Oregon where they keep all the planes and cars in working order. Once a moth, they fire some of them up and show them off.

Interesting picture. Looks like some kind retro robot from the ’50s.
