Self importance is our greatest enemy. Think about it—what weakens us is feeling offended by the deeds and misdeeds of our fellowmen. Our self importance requires that we spend most of our lives offended by someone. —Carlos Castaneda

Self importance = the ego= ignorance. Self importance can be seen within the ego’s most fundamental attitude towards life and death. Is the ego offended by death? Is it angry about death? You bet it is! Lol. DJ’s teachings are deep and we can follow them to get free of the grip of the ego, I mean . . . self importance.

Good quote, Allan. Haven’t thought about Castaneda in a long time. Teachings of Don Juan…
