Genre: Fiction
Title: The Eyes Have It
Word Count: 100

It was Friday afternoon and the work week was officially over. A hungry and thirsty crowd was filling up the Pizzeria. Their orders for drinks and appetizers threatened to overwhelm the kitchen staff.

The take-out line was not exempt from a crush of hungry patrons intent on taking food home.

“Do you want this pizza cut into six pieces or eight?” Joey waited for a sign of recognition from his customer.

Danny took a big swallow of wine from his glass and set it on the counter. “You better make it four pieces. I don’t think I can eat six.”
