Nature

Sally D’s Mobile Photography Challenge this week is nature. I used the Hipstamatic app to take this photo of the bloom on a succulent.

Allan, an example of the kind of plant that can sustain itself in your golden state. I enjoyed the softer editing; it forces me to really notice the succulents design and details. Happy Photo Challenge.

Thank you, Sally. The succulents are pretty tough little plants and do well with little water. We have had a few good storms in the last 2 months and the growth spurt on them is quite noticeable. A steady rain is falling today and some storms are stacking up over the Pacific so we should have a colorful Spring this year.

I, too, think it looks like a creature from another planet. Cool shot, Allan.

Thanks, Janet, it does look like a creature from another planet. I am very happy with the closeup ability of the camera in this 7+ phone.

They can certainly appear to be alien beings depending on the POV.

Our neighbors have one of those strange alien plans that bloomed last summer.
