Cee’s Black and White Challenge: In The Distance

I used the Provoke Camera app to take this photo in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Atlanta last year. Looking up at the view from the lobby floor, I challenged myself to place as many rectangles and squares as I could into a square frame.

Thanks, Sally. The Hyatt is worth a visit if you are ever in downtown Atlanta.

Aside from a simply stunning image, you have rectangles, and lots of diagonals. Must have been fun just playing with the composition.

I had a blast the whole time that I was there and the staff was quite accommodating.

The lobby is big enough to put the Statue of Liberty inside. It is a photographer’s wonderland.

That’s a good one – love the way the perspective plays with your eye.
