Some Roses Are Red and Others Are Not

The roses in our backyard have exploded into bloom this Spring. They are a beautiful expression of the amount of rain that we had this year in Northern California.

I used the ToonCamera app to take this photo.

Hi, Jane. Thanks for your comment about the rose. The blossoms this Spring have been a wonderful counter-point to last year’s crop.

I really like how this turned out.. It still keeps the beauty of the colors in that perfect rose.. I think I’m a little bit jealous of your backyard wonderland.. 😊

Thanks for your comment, Pan. You can always stop by a garden store and enjoy some roses while on the road.

There’s too many ppl in the walmart garden centers now with Spring here.. Walmarts are pretty generous in letting rigs park.. But I try to shop in the wee hours to avoid the crowds.. Some customers have beautiful landscaping but not many roses I’ve seen.. I’m guessing because ppl would be picking them..

Wow that’s Sterling Rose. Our neighbors have one. They are very shy but have come out specatylary this year. Good for you for capturing this wily character.

I’m enjoying seeing your various roses and (almost) smelling their delicate aroma.

Lovely rendering of what must be lovely already. Do they smell as nice as they look?
