Hornet’s Nest

Hudson Hornet automobiles are popping up around me this winter. In early December I came across one as I left the gym and while running errands yesterday I found a parking space in front of yet another one.

I used the Lowy lens/BlacKeys Supergrain film/Triple Crown flash combination in the Hipstamatic app for these Photos.

My grandpa had Hudson Hornets for years. I remember sleeping in the big wide back window.Beautiful details I like the windows. What color where they? I remember a dark maroon…

Makes me think of the Pink Panther and almost laugh out loud (but I’m at the library, so I won’t.) Are you familiar with the Silver Hornet? If not, here’s a link: https://search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?p=pink+panther%2C+silver+hornet&ei=UTF-8&hspart=mozilla&hsimp=yhs-001.

Very cool shots, Allan. Though I’d love to see the whole car as well. :).

Hi, Brigitte. There was no good angle to take a photo of the entire car without blah/distracting backgrounds. The way things are going I won’t be surprised to find another car in just the right place for extensive photographs. Watch for it.
