A Few of My Favorite Things

This week Cee has challenged us to come up with a topic from the following verse:

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels,
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles,
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings,
These are a few of my favorite things.

Cattails are a part of my genetic makeup. Spending Summers with my Aunt and Uncle on their farm in NE Ohio was the highlight of my year, and they had patches of cattails everywhere on their acreage. I took this photo last July when I was back in town visiting my mother.

The brown flower-heads in this picture remind me of notes on a sheet of music, and that reminds me of Cee’s topic this week. Funny, that.

You are so right about the musical notes. Love it!
There is a beautiful patch of cattail in Tilden Park near the Little Farm, but I know it’s not home.

I give it an 85. I can’t make out the words, but I can dance to it. 😁 and dancing is important!

Beautiful. And yes, I imagine with their swaying and rustling they music too in a soft or hard breeze!

Way out of the box thinking…..it does look like it could be music. Plus I adore cattails. Perfectly done.

Thanks, Cee. Sometimes I am not even near where they store the boxes. I am glad that it worked out this week.
