Light and Shadow

“You can’t have a light without a dark to stick it in.” —Arlo Guthrie

The subject of my entry to Sally’s Photo Challenge this week is a night shot of an Approach Support Tower of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Great shot. The black and white really captures the drama of the bridge.

Thanks, Suzanne, I like using the B&W for the bridge photos-especially at night.

Thanks, Janet. I have had a lot “life” happening that has kept me away from blogging, but I am on my way back.

Sorry, I’ve been away for a while. What did I miss? A job change? Retirement? ( couldn’t be!) I hope all is well.

Welcome back, Gemma. You haven’t missed much. I will be retiring in 2 weeks, so that is probably the biggest news to date and you heard it here first!

Well congrats, Allan! I retired a year and a half ago at 60. I thought maybe it was too soon, but now I think, NOT!!! You’ll be looking at that bridge from a different angle, a new perspective. You are off to an excellent adventure. Best of luck, and enjoy!

A shot that evokes the drama of the bridge, but also it’s fabulous design and structure. Will you miss seeing its splendor daily? Happy photo challenge.

Yes, I am definitely going to miss the unique views that I have as a District Employee. I will be able to enjoy the views along with the General Public in the future, so all is not lost.
