Thought For Today

“Hurt people, hurt people.”

Continuing with today’s baseball theme (thanks for starting us off, Bill) is this gentle reminder for the upcoming Rite of Little League Baseball. One could take this message to heart and apply it to the Big Picture of Life, or not—just sayin’.

“There’s no crying in baseball…” Tom Hanks, “A League of Their Own”. What did he know. I can verify I’ve seen tears on Little League fields in the 1950’s and again in the 1990’s. Thanks for sharing.

Give all of us a break and remember lot of little girls play ball. They are all just little kids!

Good point, I did not mean to exclude little girls.

This is a good reminder to be more aware of who and what is going on around us.

    Thanks for sharing,

Great idea. Some of the parents I have been around should be doing pushups every time I hear them launch a tirade at their little athlete.

Self-control, what a concept. Thanks for joining the conversation.

Should be posted at every little league field around the country. Thanks for posting this,

You are welcome, Bill. When I saw this photo I thought of your recent story about you playing ball in the backyard with your son. It is comforting to know that kids are following a positive role-model and not some PTSD-addled, major league wannabe.

Good luck with your team this year,
