“…Delicate could be the tracings of frost on a window, a child’s tiny fingers and toes, the intricate pattern of a tree’s canopy, or something yet-to-be-discovered. So much of this challenge depends on your interpretation of “delicate…”
I started thinking about how the word delicate applies my job as an electrician on the Golden Gate Bridge. When I am at work, delicate is relative because everything is built “Hell for stout”, as we said in the mines.
The photo below shows another positioning ring used in setting the Coastal Artillery guns in the bunkers above the Golden Gate Strait. I put my hand in the photo to give some sense of scale to this delicate ring. Enjoy.
I took this photo with my iPhone 5 and made edits in Snapseed.

The quality of photo that the iphone can take is amazing. I should have saved my money and purchased a camera that could double as a phone, and triple as a GPS, quadruple as a laptop. I love everything San Francisco. Spent 7 years there in my college days and never get back enough. I envy you up to a point. Though I also love the Golden Gate bridge, I’d rather view it from the ground! The quote on my photo “true strength is delicate” could easily be used on yours.

Your quote is timely and I like your spider photo. I wanted to take a photo of a web, but the recent rains have erased them in my vicinity.
These camera phones are great and they do have their limitations, especially no optical zoom capability. It is fun to work within the boundaries of its strengths and push the limits on its boundaries.
Thanks for the comments.

I imagine soldering the ends of that ring together is a delicate procedure…
