Story Challenge: Letter “N”

This week’s Story Challenge is the letter “N” and my mind immediately goes to NO, NEVER, do NOT— I think you get the picture here.

I decided to take a look at the warning signs around my workplace to show how many things workers canNOT do. As it turned out, there are a lot of helpful warning signs that are cautionary in nature and only a few signs that are flat-out NO, or NEVER messages.

This exercise made me realize that my reaction to many suggestions has been to turn them into rules and that is a problem. I can take a suggestion, but I don’t especially like following a rule. Hmmmmph, a mental change is required at this point (my boss will be thrilled…).

Thank you, Frizz, for this challenge and this experience of personal growth.

Our life is full of “Do not”…. (sigh!)

Yes it is. I am going to work on changing that into, “Experience shows us that…”.

      Wish me luck.

Thanks, sometimes incorrect grammar conveys more than a well-worded sign.
