An old ship forgotten by the sea and time.

Reminds me of a vintage postcard.

Thanks, Sally. I’m just happy it’s still here. There was an unfortunate fire a few years ago when someone was trying to take long-exposure night photos of another person twirling burning steel wool on a cable. They damn near burned the boat to the ground.

Ah yes, the SS Point Reyes. Beaten and burned. Lovely photo of it. Like the pano format, too.

Thanks, RX. There were three other photographers at work when I got there and the pano-format was a challenge. I like the results of the effort.

Thank you, Cee. I just happened upon it Thursday while we were out in Pt Reyes.

Among my many favorite John Hiatt lyrics: “What you gonna do when the planet shifts? What you gonna do, going to steady or list?”

Thanks, Stephanie. That would be a great soundtrack in a slideshow of this wreck.
