      Thank you. The background is a bit of “Okey-bokkeh” thanks to our Laurel bush on the left and our neighbor’s Japanese Maple tree on the right.

    Do you and the Lioness grow mostly (or all) roses, Allan? Your garden must be lovely. Are they scented roses?

      Thanks for asking, Janet. We have an variety of plants on the front and rear hillsides (succulents, bulbs, and shade-dwellers), and separate raised planters for the roses and a vegetable garden. Some of the roses are lightly scented (due to seasonal allergies) and they are the easiest of our plants to photograph because the planter is at the bottom of the hill. We have a drip-system on a timer for watering everything and adjust the cycles according to the drought conditions (not a problem this year or last).
