I can’t believe I missed this one. Love the texture inside the red. It reminds me of a Poké Ball from the Pokémon game :p

I’m glad that you like it so much and thanks for the Pokemon link. I can see why you think it’s so similar.

I like the way it seems to float in the air (which it obviously doesn’t, given the pretty reflection.) It’s also hard to know how big it is, what it is, etc., giving it a beguiling air of jewel-like mystery.

(Did you shut off your “like” button?)

Thanks for your comments, Janet. This was a table decoration on a mirrored table in a hotel room we were staying in over the weekend. There were three red balls on a canoe-shaped chrome dish and it just fascinated the stew out of me so I started playing with placement, POV and lighting.

As far as the like button, I turned it off for two reasons:
      1. Some of the posts in “This Day in History” are pretty gruesome and don’t justify a “Like”.
      2. After pondering it for awhile, it occurred to me that without a “Like” button folks might be more inspired to comment and voice their thoughts/feelings about the subject matter.

I’ll try it this way for a bit and see what happens over time. Thanks for noticing and bringing up the subject.

I think it’s a good idea, at least for the history days. It will be interesting to see if you start getting more comments on other posts.

Lovely to look at. Something about it keeps me going back to it.

Thanks, Angeline. There is something about the dark red, chrome and black that just seems to work.
