“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”
—Genesis 1: 3-5, KJV
Electricians have had work since Day 1, you can look it up. As a Rotating Shift electrician on the Golden Gate Bridge, I spend two-thirds of my workdays in the dark during the 3pm-11pm Swing shift or the 11pm-7am Graveyard shift.
Illumination is important to me: I need it to see any dangerous conditions in my path when I am making my nightly rounds and I enjoy the interplay of light and shadow that are not present during the day. Here is a look at a scene that I encountered on a recent End-of-the-Month Light Check.
