Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Your 2012 Best People or Animals

As I look back on this past year, memories of all the preceding years have flooded into the mix. The sense of time, Kairos vs. Chronos (qualitative vs. quantitative), is ever-present. I have found that I deal better with the moments of indeterminate time (Kairos) — it is good to have a plan, but we must adapt and continue forward if we are to be successful.

The crowning achievement this year for me is my relationship with The Fabulous Mizz N. She is a sweetheart and my son and daughter-in-law have done an excellent job of parenting and raising a fine young woman.

I was able to share a moment of my life with her when we went to the top of the North Tower of the Golden Gate Bridge and she experienced the magnitude of the planning, design and work that went into the construction, and upkeep, of an international icon. Her gift to me was seeing the structure through her eyes and experiencing the wonder of the view — it never gets old.

This photo sums up that day and my year. Enjoy.
